Zhenhe Hall

Zhenhe Hall, previously named as Baohe Hall, is one of the eight mansions of Tang Family in Ming dynasty. It contains phoebe Zhennan hall, the biggest Ming dynasty gauze cap hall in Changzhou. The hall has post and lintel construction with large-scale crescent beam made of phoebe Zhenan and red sandalwood. The stone tablets embedded on the wall of east corridor in the hall, with Record of Baohe Hall engraved on, which was written by Sun Shenxing, Director of the Board of Rites in the Ming dynasty. It’s the residence of Tang Jingchuan, Tang Hehui and Tang Yuzhao. Zhuang Kai (Jinshi  in the reign of emperor Kangxi), Qian Weiqiao, (the younger brother of Qian Weicheng, Zhuangyuan in the reign of emperor Kangxi), Zhang Zanchen (an industrialist in late Qing dynasty) and Zhang Tailei (one of the early leaders of the communist party of China) all once lived here.
